About Us

Andrea Nasstrom and I have been great friends for years. Our relationship continued to grow as a result of our children’s friendship. Because of their wonderful imaginations and endless creative play, it sparked our creativity. We designed the fun, exciting and first-ever musical dress-up line, Acting Out.

We started selling the first Musical Dress-Up Skirts and Light-Up Boas in October 2003. Now, after five of listening to our customers and garnering experience based on their needs, we have added dozens of new products to our musical dress-up line. 

Andrea’s winning business skills coupled with my creative inventiveness has blossomed into a successful partnership. Thanks to the support of our husbands, family, friends and customers, we have fulfilled our dream with the continued growth of Acting Out.

Starting a business and developing a line simultaneously has certainly been both an adventure and an education. This has been a total team effort and it has been so much fun!
